    $7.25 Peas, Fall of 08 Saskatchewan!

    Yesterday I got the first call for Peas Delivered to Regina or Yorkton for $7.25 September of 08.
    I told the Guy that's great but an $8.00 is my number to pull the trigger. Since they are getting over 10 now for stuff that was done last fall at 6.
    But $8.00 for half of our production I can live with even if they go to 12 next fall.
    Its my happy place number.

        With Rayglen wait two weeks and the price will be be a buck up, or maybe thats only after I sign something.

          Remember guys, (and parsley) the rule of good marketing is "always reward a rally". Yes, saskfarmer3, your 8 bucks is a nicer number but seven and a quarter is awfully good for the first ten or 15 per cent of production. If the prices jump higher to, say, eight bucks, reward the market more or seed more acres.

          Always reward a rally, especially an unexpected one.

            I'm rallying to the WBGA comference in Calgary Feb, 13, 14, 15, I'm all booked to go, so am hoping to get rewarded by asking you lots of questions over coffee. Are you attending?

              Melville for years guys like you have said reward yourself on the rally. I agree but we are in new unknown territory and the last two years have proven that the old adage isnt working any more.
              Selling off the combine this fall netted a guy around 8.25 for their canola. its now 1t the crusshers. Local elevator bids are ugly.
              Watching markets is key to knowing the rally. Processors are selling peas you rewarded yourself with at 6.00 for 10 now. $8.00 is the number that works.

                Batteries dying that should have read crushers are now at over 10.00.
                Reward the rally if they price is decent, But with skyrocketing Costs is 7.25 Decent in an El Nino year.
