What percentage of a person's average expected production should be priced right now with attractive forward pricing contracts. I have not priced any yellow pea or lentil production for next year. I am considering pulling the trigger. Any thoughts?

What does it cost you to produce. When do you need the money/space? Do you think it will go higher/lower, why? Will certain crops have to fight for acres?
At what point does substitution occur?
Is demand elastic/ inelastic?
I've heard new crop peas now at $8.50 and red lentils .25 cents lb. wildly profitable prices but they can, probably will go higher. Might plummet!
Might be the year of the special crop who do you know growing mustard/flax/coriander/canary seed?
How do others go through the process.
In case I forget whats your rotation, and what do you do best at.
And to tie it all in to the CWB so nobody else gets hung up on it.
You can't deliver 100% of CWB grains off the combine , even if you like the basis, so that screws up the basis on every other crop!!
