I always treat my wheat, barley, and canola seed, but last year on my yellow peas I treated only 1/2 my acres and saw no difference. For those who have more years of experience, does it pay to treat your pea seed?

Do you use seed treatment on your pea seed?

Only treat your pea seed if you are using granular innoculent. Otherwise the seed treatment can kill the rizobia bacteria on the sticking innoculants. Studies show that there is not much difference in yield between treated seed pea and non-treated. Especially coming off dry year. Get you seed tested if you are concerned. I wouldn't do it this year. Waste of money.
