    canaryseed next year?

    How is the outlook for canaryseed next year? We are looking a different options for fertilizing & thought we would put this into the mix.Any price outlooks?

    We are looking for markets to remain fairly flat through the 2000-01 season and stocks to remain fairly high in Canada. This could result in a drop in seeded area next spring, which should allow values to improve across the 2001-02 marketing year. A reduction in seeded area and average yields would allow stocks to be drawn down and this should not go unnoticed by markets.
