My peas this year have quite a few cracks and sprouts and are quite dry. Any Ideas if they would still make seed or not if cleaned?

I've seen all kinds of ugly peas that have made decent enough seed. I would definately recommend a germination, vigor and mechanical damage test however. Last year I seeded Elfetta Peas that were 73% germination (23% mechanical damage). However I treated with Aprol FL and put them in the ground at 210 Lbs. acre. You would never have guessed that it was poor seed. Crop was excellent yielding 70 bushels/ acre. Best thing is to do the test and see what you are working with and if acceptable treat with APRON FL and seed heavier. Its a bit of a gamble but you weigh the risks!!!!
