Green peas

Does anybody follow the green pea market or am I the last fool still growing them?
Actually they turned out pretty good last year.
I haven,t had a chance to check into the fall prices yet (if there are any).
Will get at it next week.

my friend sold 8000 bus 2 weeks ago for 8.20 del bluehills processors in avonlea.I dont know if that is still avalable or not.hope that helps. fedupcwb

I am sold out of this years peas. I was actually thinking about contract prospects for the coming year. Last year I locked in a few loads for fall delivery and it worked out pretty good.

Every year I say I am going to guit growing greens and switch to yellows.
The premium has not been there to compensate for the extra stress of dealing with bleaching and bird damage - except for last year when they yielded not bad for this area and there was a bit of a price premium.
