    Sask. land reform

It would seem that the government in Sask. has pretty well decided to scrap the 320 acre limit to out of province ownership. They somehow think this will save the province! I suspect it will raise land values slightly as the Americans gobble up Saskatchewan.
But do they seriously think it will revitalize their rural areas? Or is it just a way to let all their aging farmers retire? Do they think a bunch of absentee owners are going to help small town Saskatchewan?
If you own land in Saskatchewan why wouldn't you want to live there? Is Saskatchewan such a horrible place you can only stand it for 5 months of the year?

Cowman once again you have done a bang on the money analysis of the situation. The NDP government has to make sure that its old faithful farm voters have a chance to make some money off the sale of farmland. They have never given a dam about rural Saskatchewan and aren't about to start at this late date. The sad part is that this was the opposition party's idea to start with, so us farmers are screwed, unless somebody finally wakes up.

I have always found Sask. politics interesting. From Devine back to the NDP. Crooks or dingbats! Your choice!
Here in Alberta we have only one choice...Ralph and his gang! They are only marginally crooked and only do really dumb things part of the time! It's getting worse of course, now that Ralph is no longer drunk most of the time. He actually tries to do something...which is a bad thing! Better to just stay bombed and let the people of Alberta go about their business! Hey, maybe you could convince Calvert to become a drunk?
