Farm Insurance

We live in Ontario, Canada and are trying to find an insurance
company that will insure our Farm property, buildings and such for
Fire, Thief and Liability. We will insure the Alpacas under a
different policy. Currently firms like AXA will do the insurance but
WITHOUT the Liability coverage because of the Alpacas.

Can anyone in Ontario, Canada provide the name of their insurance
company where they currently provide Farm Property, Building
insurance with Fire, Thief and Liability?

A mutual company should be easiest. We're with Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance, but there are a bunch of different ones. You'll just have to ask around to see what's in your area.

I am with Wawaneesa. I have been very happy with the coverage and their assistance when I have needed them.

Someone who is specializing in livestock insurance is "Co-operators" They also have some in house re-insurance which seems to be critical.
Good luck as it is expensive where ever.

I live in nothern Ontario and have switched from Wawanesa to North Waterloo and like the this company as they have a higher liability limit pay for a portion of fire extinguishers and have a rebate of 10 per cent for anyone filling out and completing and adhering to the Ontario Agricultural Safety Audit Program.
