    Sold..... $600/ac

Some things never cease to amaze me, 310 ac of slightly better than average land just sold for $186,500. This is after three consecutive years of severe drought. This land was assesed at $168,000, and that was based on production levels in the late 1990's.
What are land prices doing in other parts of the province?

How come so cheap? Don't advertise like that or you'll have every farmer in Alberta moving there!

      well....
      #1 - no oil!
      #2 - no rain!
#3 - no urban development potential - ever!
#4 - With first nations buying land all around, no Eruopean dudes looking to buy.
#5 - no water for cows? Unless you want to drill 300ft.
Here the land is only worth what it can produce and that should be between $400 - 500/ac, thats just the way it is, believe me our family has farmed here for 90 years. But by all means I would rather see Albertans come and buy land here than the other alternatives. Sometimes there is a reason why land prices seem cheap.
