We can see how that plays out in real time right here on Agrisilly.
    Don’t worry Chuck
There are some really kooky left wing people also in all provinces so it kind of balances out. Also some really kooky left wing people posting on Agrisilly!
What scares me is the kooky left wing extremist that have taken over the government of Canada!

Its no surprise that those who disagree with a particular party or point of view are going to call their opponents loony.

But in Kenney's case he is calling some of the extremists in his own party loons and extremists.

Like the ones who openly brought tiki torches to an anti vax and anti mask protest at the legislature February 20, 2021 knowing full well that they are symbol of white nationalists and white supremacists.

Tiki torches gained notoriety as a symbol of hate after they were used at demonstrations by white nationalists in Charlottesville, Va., in 2017.

Kenney said "Prominent racists promoted Saturday's protest at the legislature, and individuals attended the event from known hate groups like the 'Soldiers of Odin' and 'Urban Infidels.' I condemn these voices of bigotry in the strongest possible terms."

Kenney, Alberta and all Canadians have every right to concerned about the right wing extremists and bigots in the UCP.

Chuck2 are you perhaps a member of the NDP Socialist Caucus? A left wing group inside the NDP which believes that the NDP has moved to far to the right?

Leger Marketing conducted a poll March 18-20 that found Brian Jean would do better against Rachel Notley than Jason Kenney in a provincial election. Puts a bit of a hole in Kenney’s narrative!

Kenney is so low in the polls that almost anyone running would do better. Can Jean beat Notley? Probably not if the UCP blows itself up. LOL

But its going to be the best Alberta summer ever. Again.

But you say nothing about the extremists Kenney is talking about? On Agrisilly, denial and silence about rightwing extremists and white supremacist who are attracted to the UCP "light" is the norm. In some cases there is even sympathy and muted support

That is the best joke I've heard all week. I'm trying to visualize it. Can anyone draw a diagram of how that shift would look? I didn't know you could go further left than infinitely left. This is the equivalent of Buzz lightyear saying "To infnity and beyond".

So A5 how come you don't want to talk about what Kenny said about some members of the UCP?

You seem to spend a lot of time worrying about me when the whole point is to discuss the subject of the thread. I am not the subject. LOL

Years ago a prominent old ndp mouthpiece and her cohorts tried to establish a paty further left than the Romanow ndp. For obvious reasons it didn’t attract wide support nor could they agree on much. Even ndp members called it a reinvention of the communist party. Fast forward these nutty ideas are ndp policy. After Calvert was sent back to his burrow the party has taken quite a shift as the lunatics are what’s left. The middle road ndp’s have left the party. Conservative and liberal based parties should take note as this can happen if you let lunatics run the show. You lose your middle voters. I love Facebook as I have friends of all political stripes. I read a lot of the crap they post and share as I don’t like to live in an echo chamber. What I find glaringly obvious is the lunatics on the wings are so similar in the fact they’re lunatics. Plain and simple. No point arguing with a lunatic as you’ll never change their mind. You might disprove them and make them look dumb but they don’t see it. I like to get along with people but I also like my point known. I know them personally and know why they are the way they are. On a forum such as this one though we don’t know who is actually who and who is a paid shill or some nut still angry about cwb or the land bank being ended. So in essence here it is a battle of sorts to keep lunatics from taking over.

Wilton on Agrisilly several posters call everyone and everything they disagree with as communists and communism.

Republicans consider many Conservative policies in Canada socialism. Especially single payer healthcare that provides universal care whether rich or poor.

Conservatives like Andrew Scheer ran on a campaign for support for supply managed industries of dairy and poultry which require state control and regulation to work. In other words socialism for farmers.

Conservatives support government income support programs for retirees and seniors such as CPP, OAS and GIS along with other social program transfers to the Provinces.

Many Conservatives wanted more support payments for businesses and individuals during the covid lockdowns. Conservative premiers were asking for more federal support.

Farmers and other businesses receive government subsidies and some right here on Agrisilly complain like hell because they don't get enough and want more.

So who are you calling left wing socialists? Because many conservatives seem to be will full recipients on the socialist gravy train.

So all the partisan accusations seem more than a bit hollow and hypocritical.

But you have little to say about the tiki torch bearing yahoos on the fringes of the conservative movement who hold racists and bigoted views? It's like they don't exist. But they most certainly do and deeply damage the conservative brand.

That's what Kenney is talking about.

Chuck2 if as you say Kenney is talking about the extreme right members of the party I would say they constitute a very small percentage of the membership, maybe 1-2%, really I have no idea. But a small fringe element isn’t going to be able to run the party or take it over. This is simply fear mongering and political postering being done by Kenney to try and keep his job. He knows if he resigns or is forced out his future political ambitions are gone and I believe he wants to continue being a politician!!

Maybe true but the conspiracy theories like the WEF and Soros are running Canada, run deep into the party with some MPs spouting this stupidity. Along with many posters on Agrisilly. Michelle Remple says as a much.

And the anti science anti vax wing of the Conservatives is very large. Along with the social conservatives who want to tell you how to live your life.

And then there is the Q Anon stupidity. Another level.

But you still haven't addressed the blantant hypocrisy of conservatives condemning socialism but then supporting it??
