Truth, honor, courage and common sense.
You should suggest to your fellow posters that they pay attention to credible science and evidence instead of the antivax hucksters conspiracy freaks on social media.

Truth, if governments had been honest from the start, especially China's government who lied and tried everything possible to hide the truth; then we might have prevented this from becoming a worldwide phenomenon.
Honor, If we honoured our elderly, and those in highest risk, we could have done everything possible to protect them from the very beginning, and kept Covid out of nursing homes etc where the toll was the worst. Instead, the management of these facilities was almost criminally negligent in many places.
Courage, If human, collectively, had the courage to accept the actual risks, and realize that as a healthy young individual, the courageous thing to do was to do our duty, and be productive citizens, in spite of the negligibily small risk of death from covid. The risk of societal collapse from our supply chains and infrastructure collapsing could have been avoided.
Common sense, if more of us had common sense, then none of these mandates and government imposed regulations on our lives would have been necessary. They could have informed us that there is a deadly(to certain age groups), highly virulent virus with no known effective treatments. Anyone with common sense would have acted appropriately. Instead ,the world is full of Karen's and Chucks's who are paralyzed with fear and need the government to hold their hand and make all decisions for them. These are the folks who need the government to specifically tell them not to lick door knobs in public washrooms during a pandemic.

Instead we still have the antivax and anti science crowd who cant do math.
So unfortunately expecting all people to do the right thing in a public health crisis and pandemic does not work.
Only a libertarian fool would suggest that we leave pandemic and healthcare management up to individuals to manage.

Where is the reference or link because we need to see the whole report or study to put it into context.
And the majority of people who have died and are still dieing are the elderly. And as vaccines wear off they need boosters which is what is recommended right now.
And even with boosters the vulnerable elderly with weakened immune systems will still die in some cases even if they are vaccinated.
Just like the influenza vaccines which are given every flu season to the elderly to reduce spread, infection and severe disease. They modify the various vaccines in response to what the flu types were in the southern hemisphere.Last edited by chuckChuck; Apr 12, 2022, 10:46.

Chuck, try reading other posts before you respond so you don't look like an idiot every time.
I said IF we had common sense. We don't collectively. If you need any evidence of the lack of common Sense amongst a certain segment of the population, just read the posts this morning. You have made 10 covid posts already.
After reading through your input this morning, anyone can conclude that common sense is already dead. But insults are alive and well.
It is because of people like you that governments found it necessary to implement strict controls on people's lives. Not because of the people with common sense.

It looks like Borys’s country is the only country allowed to freely test, dissect and report data. Borys is also outstanding with his aid to the Ukraine. He doesn’t stand there and pontificate about freedom and aid to calamities like our happy socks, then do SFA. Just sayin and comparing leadership. Verbal diarrhea doesn’t signify good leadership in my world.
