Businesses flourished during the Freedom Convey based on that one phone call, so there really is no reason for the 200 businesses filing the class action lawsuit.

Good on you for bringing that up!
I'm sure all Agrivillers see the similarities between the participants of the rail blockades that took place, and the Freedom Convey participants that occupied Ottawa and those at the border blockades at Coutts, Windsor and Emerson.
They disrupted businesses from operating and effected their livelihoods. One group was against the oil and gas sector from crossing their land and the other simply not happy with the election results in September of 2021.
But, I did call a friend who lives in Belleville during that time of the rail blockade, and he stated that the participants of the railway blockade were very friendly and tourist like and the businesses around Belleville did very well from their business.
Of, course my friend doesn't farm, but was smart enough to realize it's got to be hurting my business and many more Canadians.

I don't remember going to order parts and being told they're delayed because of the Ottawa protest.
Definitely heard it when a major coastal rail access was closed for weeks. No exports going through Ottawa either. It's our nation's capital.
They may have gone a little far maybe but.
You know darn well if that had been a First Nations protest in Ottawa it would not have had bank accounts siezed and organizers jailed.
Blockading Coutts was dumb.
Ottawa laid out like a small town.
At least no one lives near the Mall in DC lol.

So far, the odds are favoring Canada not being a real country.
The EMA is for a grave threat to our country, not for guys giving out hot dogs in front of Parliament.
Trudeau carried on with the elements of the EMA long after he halted it, arrests, illegal detentions, investigations by those Ottawa nazis. Even turned parliment hill into a check stop search for Canada Day, but for the Ukrainia independence day people were allowed to flood the square again.

Just saying. There are Canadians in all parts of Canada with different needs.
But, definitely the illegal border blockades at Coutts, Windsor, and Emerson are no different than the railway blockades of a couple years ago. They without a doubt caused many delays for Canadian businesses in several provinces. As I do recall Coutts and Emerson are located in the prairies.
That's why I agreed with Cropgrower's suggestion.
Especially Coutts, as you have mentioned as being dumb, as guns were seized not far away by law enforcement. Who knows what these protesting nutbars were capable of.
Two Police Officers died just this week in Ontario on duty.Last edited by foragefarmer; Oct 15, 2022, 10:03.

Apparently local restaurants were unable to compete with free hotdogs and lost all that business they had been getting from the homeless.
Anarchy for sure.
