Ate you actualy happy with the direction our great country seems headed?

The pipeline situation has changed significantly for the better with more capacity.

The oil industry is busy, but they cant find enough workers because a lot of them got tired of the boom and bust and have chosen other more stable careers. Its hardly an industry that has been shut down is it, if they are short of workers?

They are making near record profits with high stock values on an industry that is shut down?

Better tell Jazz because he sold all his polly bitcoin at a massive loss and bought oil shares and the industry is about to be shut down?

Again the excuses and partisan exaggerations just keep a coming from those who often can't tell the truth from lies.
Reason why the original operator of trans mountain booked her was because they realized this country couldn’t organize a pissup in a brewery when it came to approving projects such as these. Country has become so Balkanized by authorities bending over backwards for special interests while the country at large suffers. I agree though about shortage of workers. Lot of oilfield workers got out at last bust and took even lower paying but more stable non oilfield or even oilfield and energy sector related jobs in a more stable part of the industry. Service and drilling rigs and even oilfield construction to a lesser degree is a young man’s game. Seldom see 50 year old floor hands on a service rig unless they have problems. Our population is getting older and not enough young grunts to fill these positions. They can get better jobs in the industry. Drilling rigs have become automated enough to need a lot less people. Vertical pin point cold wells have given way to directional multi pad wells and thermal wells. At least that is how it’s in heavy oil country. It’s a lower environmental footprint, requires less service companies, and ultimately less manpower. At the same time more oil is produced with less carbon emissions.
