All these subsidies and state controlled marketing boards are supported by the Conservatives including Crypto Polly.Last edited by chuckChuck; Jul 5, 2022, 08:06.

Have nothing to do with state controlled marketing boards . Swim on your own .
Also don’t forget the massive contribution to the economy that comes from farms every single year and tens of thousands of jobs and careers all from the hard work, time and effort from the soil and seeds we all plant each and every year . Far far outweighs the minor subsidies involved .Last edited by furrowtickler; Jul 6, 2022, 12:45.

I will post this question to you Chuck. Not wanting any of your banter or crypto Poly and I won’t refer to you as socialist scum. For which I apologize if you think I was actually calling you that. So what do you being an NFU member think needs to be done with the organization to make a national body that represents Canadian farmers and not a circle jerk for a small subset of the agricultural community? If I sound condescending here I apologize but that is how I view the NFU and there would be potential with a body such as this for ag in general but it is so far off base for the vast majority of farmers nationally. Even the CFA is plumbed that way as well. Like it seems as if the NFU is so rooted in this leftist ideology that they cannot be pragmatic about issues affecting agriculture. Do you let just be and continue on its path into obscurity or do you allow it to adapt and let the ideology slide to actually represent the industry?

Name one organization that represents the views of all farmers? LOL
On Agrislly there is a lot of complaining and whining about everything, including all the commodity organizations because they don't represent "my particular point of view" or they don't do anything. How often have we heard that.
In a democracy there should be room for all points of view whether you agree with them or not.
And it shouldn't matter whether you are a large or small farm because there is a wide range of views from farms of all sizes.
Many of the farmers across the country are indeed smaller and medium sized farmers. Many with off farm jobs to help pay the bills.
Grains and oil seed farmers make up just 34% the farms. Beef and feedlots make up about 21% So the other half of farmers are something else.
Do you think grains, oil seeds and beef farmers should represent and speak for all the rest of farmers in Canada? The other 45% who grow fruit, vegetables, potatoes etc etc?

It’s simple they need those type of people to take to events and put on the news to spout their propaganda

"Sad but when the good old cbc needs an interview for an ag related topic who do they ask 80% of the time? Typical bunch of ]socialist scum. Jealous of people being successful and not sharing in their own private misery and hell." HUH?
When did you give up your "successful" career in public relations?
And you blame me for all the name calling? LOL
So you disagree with the NFU and all "socialist scum" as you call them. Who cares. Many of the regular posters on Agrislly don't even come close to representing reasonable and moderate conservatives. There are so many factions of conservatives that can't get along, why would you expect them to have a civil discussion with people they hate so much?
Farmers from coast to coast have many different points of views and they will never agree with the far right attitude of many Agrisilly posters.Last edited by chuckChuck; Jul 7, 2022, 06:53.
