Earlier this week, the U.S. Supreme Court expanded religious rights to public funding of schools, and gun rights in striking down a New York law that put strict controls on carrying a concealed gun in public.

“They seem to be on a tear to expand religious and gun rights, in the name of freedom,” Ms. Abella said. “They are not, however, prepared to extend that freedom to women.


A country full of people who love to take away the freedom of women and minorities forcing women to have children, even sometimes in the cases of incest and ****. And at the same time do almost nothing to stop mass shootings of children?

Only in the good ole USA where a large majority of voters agree that health care and reproductive health should be a woman's choice.

Many states are going backwards with the Christian taliban lite running the show.

What could be next? Contraception rights? Gay marriage?

It’s this simple. Some are happy babies lives will be saved. Some are sad and scared and angry that babies lives will be saved.

Which side are you on chuck? You seem angry and upset that babies lives will be saved. Do you feel that that is the correct and good side? Because you sure seem to feel that babies should be killed at will.

And you think wanting to save babies lives is backwards, chuck? Is that how you feel? That’s an interesting take on this issue chuck. This issue obviously very polarizing.
Again, like gun issues an American thing. Canadians feel the need to elevate they're own dismal position I suppose.
This audience obviously one sided so will not attempt discussion. No one likes murdering babies but.
Rights may be equal but what are women saying? Where are the anti abortion women voices? Tired of listening to affluent older men on this.
If prostitution is the oldest profession, abortion must therefore be the second. How are you now going to facilitate the mental and physical well being of women with an unwanted pregnancy? Our health system can't hope to meet it's current demands, it has no prayer of understanding more.
Haven't read the ruling itself. But I believe history will show their Constitution works in interesting ways over time.
