Why shouldn't citizens be concerned about climate change?
The list and frequency of extreme weather events around the world keeps increasing and the overwhelming science that shows human caused climate change is advancing is alarming.
Only the fringe conservative antiscience crowd thinks its all a hoax or a socialist plot. LOLLast edited by chuckChuck; Sep 2, 2022, 07:05.

Assuming those who have any questions are extremists is dangerous for both sides. Can we just hear a plan that doesn't involve economic ruin for 1.6% of the world's emissions?
A plan that involves prosperity during the transition. And mitigates the risk of handing all the power to Moscow, Beijing and New Delhi?
In over a century Africa hasn't been helped in a sustainable way. Does your plan provide affordable energy to the poorest people during the transition?
And take into account the majority of cultures on the planet that don't live under a guaranteed rule of law?
Food, energy, = Power.
Are we indeed leading or just scurrying around under the grass being watched by the apex predators?
I don't hear any plans taking any of this into account.

Doing nothing is the most expensive and costly option.
You would rather leave Moscow and Saudia Arabia and OPEC in control of our energy supplies? How's that going so far?
So what your plan to develop all Africa with fossil energy? Most of the developed world has been happy to exploit the developing world's resources for their own benefit.

Reading between the lines because you're illiterate isn't reading.
Arrogant benevolence will never help Africa whether oil or solar. China doesn't mind investing though.
Fuel, Food = Power
We are giving away what little power we have before we can sustainably replace our Fuel.
Western Europe is relearning what independence means. Obviously they didn't have their own fuel.
Every nation that doesn't secure it's own Fuel and or Food gives up it's power.
Doesn't matter the Fuel source.
Leading is technology development.
Bricks and Mortar stuff.
Not smugly suffocating those you disdain while tossing cash to ethereal dreams
