Smith is checking the boxes quickly, Sovereignty Act based of S45 of the constitution which will trigger a constititional crisis if challenged by the feds because Quebec did it first. Thats a brilliant move.

The spoiled child of Alberta has the biggest GDP per capita and the highest incomes in the country and some Albertan's continually complain about how badly they are treated because they have to pay federal taxes?

It must suck to be well off.

Do you really feel sorry for the rich neighbors who tell you how they don't have enough money because of taxes?

When you have been sitting on a massive resource base and you mismanage the one time resource revenue and neglect to collect enough royalties and you let oil companies make massive profits on the backs of consumers, nobody really feels sorry for you.

Try telling that to all the people in the 80s and 90s working for $7/ hr to buy the groceries. Because in part of Ottawa. Today hearing the highest social net provinces (net recipient) tell us to stay where we belong and shut up all while placing their heel more firmly on our throat.

Our friends callous sympathy is not needed. He/It is a holdover from the old days when us Saskatchewan folk looked west and envied the prosperity Alberta experienced. Two camps emerged. One said we needed to change to experience prosperity. The other were just jealous.

I’ve been on this forum for a number of years and yes most of us here are right of centre so the left of centre folks are the minority and we jump on them en masse so they naturally are hostile when discussing political issues. I understand why their hackles are up. That said the one particular bot being as close to the AB border defies reality.
