Experience of relate returning from Vegas Sunday.
Scheduled Departure: 12:15 P.M.
They receive a message of impending boarding delay to 1:05 or so.
Actual boarding shortly after, but strangely plane idles on tarmac for an hour, pilot comes on says he is missing some kind of information, finally takes off at 2:25
Plane gets into Calgary with plenty of time for customer to make connection to Regina, but no can’t disembark because no crew to meet plane. The plane sits locked up until passengers miss the connection-to Regina but huge apologies and boarding pass handed to them with a promise of 11:00 flight.
OK, we’ll wait it out.
But then two messages delaying later and later.
Then attendant gets on the blower says they are trying to find pilots, then a while later crew might not show up. Now it’s looking dubious that there would actually be a flight that night.
Finally after 1:00 a.m. crew shows up in coats and passengers clap and cheer.
De-Ice this puppy and get outta Dodge.
Touch-down in Regina around 2:15 a.m.
And low and behold escalator all roped off cause it’s broken.
But wait, more apologies cause no cabs available in Regina for 15-20 minutes.
And Grey Cup people starting to fly in this week, then Xmas just around the corner.
What’s going on?
