It must be really hard as a rightwing conservatives to see all the change in the world over the decades and over their lifetimes. No doubt the conservatives lamented how bad things looked during all the progressive changes.
If only the world and society would stop changing and we could go back to the good ole days when white men reigned supreme over all the brown people and women didn't have the vote. LOL

But then you liked Sheep's list of several things that have nothing to do with this thread so why are you complaining again? LOL

Years ago my neighbour said we’d be growing our food in flower pots. Far a cell cultured meat it’s like hydrogen powered automobiles. It’s been 5 years away for 30 years. I’m not against the cultured meat stuffs as demand for animal proteins will outstrip supply. What I have read cell cultured meat can be made but many hurdles are present with flavour and texture plus for whatever reason some are allergic to it. Not to mention the ability to scale it up in an economic and less energy intense fashion vs real meat. I find it silly people would go to the pains of say building a solar array and storage system to power a factory growing meat while the cow does it for nothing. If people truly want to go vegan cut the bullshit with imitation meat. Lentils, beans, seaweed, and tofu can offer a complete protein package. I guarantee protein calories per acre and energy put in vs calories produced still fares than a heated indoor facility. I’ve said for years the cow calf sector in Canada at least is shrinking back to areas no good for crops. We’re feeding calves to unprecedented weights to make up for shortfalls in numbers. We haven’t truly seen a beef shortage yet.
I’ve read these articles from such utopians and I won’t discredit them for their feelings unless it has potential to put us jeopardy if it gets the ear of those in power. There are complex interdependencies in all sectors of the economy which if turned upside down cause untold suffering of millions if not billions of people. An 80% reduction in farmland and I’m assuming he is alluding to grazing lands and acres dedicated to animal feed goes in the face of the biodiversity that he is espousing. Speaking from a Canadian perspective how much grazing land has been turned into farmland again to fill demand for canola and cereals? Really how much of it is intended for animal feed? Wouldn’t the land and environment benefit from perennial cover and biodiversity at times? These types of articles and the people who write them leave out a lot of reality

I agree the world is changing but I fear a lot of us will get left behind out here as what is the reason to be here if they don’t want us farming or extracting oil in any big way? Guys like you being close to the end are safe but it’s young guys and my kids I worry about being relevant to stay out here. I get pissed off with your callous attitude as it spits in the eye of millions of people who depend on these industries to survive. There are no other options aside from moving away.

Patrick King for example, well known convoy organizer. Most of you say nothing about his racist white replacement theory bullshite.
Right wing extremism is considered to be the most pervasive and dangerous movement in the US and Canada by security experts. The evidence is the January 6 attack at the Capitol and several deadly shootings motivated by racism, intolerenace and hate.Last edited by chuckChuck; Dec 9, 2022, 08:26.

Who did I call a racist? Patrick King and Jeremy Mckenzie and those who display a Confederate flag? Yup they are well known confirmed racists involved in the convoy.
Why as a moderate Conservative do you never speak out about their racism and mysogeny?Last edited by chuckChuck; Dec 9, 2022, 09:04.

Somehow I can see you relishing a career as head of campus Bias Response Team.
The most dangerous trend in modern times is the focus on identity politics regardless of stripe. Your kind will never see that because it validates your sense of self. No great leader I've read sounds like you but each one had to deal with your kind.

Why as a moderate Conservative do you never speak out about racism and misogyny? No answer?
Some try to deny Patrick King and Jeremy McKenzie were part of the convoy.
Some also try to say the guns at Coutts were planted by the RCMP and Diagolon doesn't exist.
Asking hard and pointed questions makes me dangerous?
I guess if you are in denial about the far right or a member, that might make me dangerous.
