Finally, people with brains who are larger than frauds. Smartest of scientists who refuse to be prostitutes, who realize that CO2 is the staff of green life and that CO2 benefits result in food production - benefits that are far more valuable than the threat dreamed up of 1/8 of a millimetre rise of water in the Florida bogs.

John Francis Clauser is an experimental physicist and member of the board of directors4 of the CO2 Coalition, a group that claims that both CO2 emissions and associated global warming would be “of great benefit to life on earth.â€
The whole earth none the less? That statement is incredibly stupid!
What about the coastal cities that will see flooding? Oh ya that will be of "great benefit" LOL
Or the loss of coral reefs do to a warming ocean? Who does that benefit?
The list goes on.....

Do you think we can master fusion in 10,000 yrs because we have oil to last that long.

Eventually they will have to be dealt with. One way or another. The concrete also.
Also, I didn't say that fossil fuels will last forever and won't need to be dealt with. But maybe we could learn some lessons and look further down the road. It's scary

Do you understand the difference between net change vs individual?
You are concerned about cities flooding due to the continued sea level rise, which has been happening almost unabated for over 10,000 years, swallowing civilizations as it goes, all the while humans have continued to grow and thrive in spite of these losses. Since this is a farmer forum, not a city forum, lets make this relevant to agriculture.
Pretend you are a capitalist farmer. Farming in the semi arid prairie. Yields are very poor and unpredictable due to lack of rainfall. You have the opportunity to install irrigation, which will quadruple your average yields, but you will have to sacrifice 2% of your land to irrigation canals, pivots, pump stations, wheel tracks etc.
By your logic, you decline irrigation because of the loss of the 2%, while ignoring the massive benefit to the remaining 98%. While you focus on losing 2%, math says you would be missing out on gaining 4*.98= 3.92 times more production. That is the net benefit. Same as occurs with warming.
To take your concern to the ridiculous extreme, the world should have been the most productive and prosperous when the sea levels were at their lowest, and much of the land mass was covered in ice. Do you know why the glacial maxima are not referred to as climate optimums in the scientific literature?Last edited by AlbertaFarmer5; Sep 1, 2023, 14:35.

How do the prices these mega offshore wind farms are asking for compare to what you get for your power you sell to Sask Power?
Do you get more or less Chuck?
If we were able to access power from these mega sized state of the art offshore wind farms how much would that reduce our electric bills.
Running EV'S off of renewables is ideal so how much cheaper per mile than ice vehicles?
USD to CAN$ is about 1.36 if you want to figure that in.
"$EQNR $BP Equinor, BP seek 54% hike in US offshore wind power price, filings show
Norway's Equinor and its partner BP are seeking a 54% increase for the price of power produced at three planned offshore U.S. wind farms, according to a filing made by a New York state regulatory authority.
According to NYSERDA, the so-called strike price for Empire Wind 1 would rise from $118.38 per megawatt hour (MWh) to $159.64/MWh and for Empire Wind 2 from $107.50/MWh to $177.84/MWh. Beacon Wind would see the strike price rise from 118.00/MWh to 190.82/MWh."Last edited by shtferbrains; Sep 1, 2023, 11:36.

Furrow the post from Australia clearly states the risk to coral reefs from rising ocean temperatures and climate change.
So congratulations for contradicting yourself and the other climate change deniers.
And there are reefs all around the world that are in decline.
The Planet Has Lost Half of Its Coral Reefs Since 1950
A new study finds dramatic declines in coral reef cover, biodiversity and fish abundance
