The bigger split is rural urban across the country but even that divide is shrinking, as there are fewer and fewer farms and most kids are looking at the same social media.
Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Regina and Winnipeg have more in common with other larger cities than smaller towns and rural residents.
Rural people are just as unlikely to know much about the concerns of city residents as city residents know about the concerns of farmers.

There was a time that most had some relatives in Eastern Canada.
My father's generation went there to work in the factories as that was where the better paying jobs were.
Hard to have a connection with a far off region when you have no reason to go there.
As was pointed out, people now go west or south.
My one son works in the US as do many of his high school classmates due to the Dot com boom.

So rural farmers and resource sector workers across the country don't have anything in common?
That's just not true.
Some of the political leaders in this country are stoking the divisions for their own political gain.
There isn't as much of a difference as you are being lead to to believe.
There are a few hard core separatists who will never be happy under any government but they are an extremely small group except in Quebec.
Quebec is the most different of all Canadian provinces because of culture and language and a history of being dominated by English Canada.

So not so wise, you don't have to be an expert to know that Quebecers speak a different langauge and have a different culture and history than the rest of Canada do you? LOL

And as you correctly point out, the current administration is stoking division between this group, and the more urban voters, for their own political gain.
Which is why the convoy so spooked the Liberal elite. The repressed classes united and realized we do all have a common cause, and common enemy. The long used divide and conquer tactics were no longer effective amongst the groups who also just so happen to have the most actual power to disrupt the society and the economy.

Crypto Polly, Danny Smith and Scotty Moe are also doing a good job of stoking divisions for their own political gain.
You will never be happy A5 because your utopian libertarian views will never come to be anything anywhere.
But don't let that stop you from raising funds to get the cop killing conspirators from Coutts out of jail.
So much for your get tough on crime agenda!

Your attempts at deflecting from a simple question get more elaborate and absurd by the day.
Trying to get back on topic. Are you suggesting that the appropriateness of divisive politics is dependent on which side is doing the dividing, and which side is uniting?
It was heartwarming to see the various marginalized groups from all across the country finding common ground during the convoy. But you are opposed to that.
