Hope we get all 88 of those f35’s. Agree Forage manpower is a real issue and having the gear which enables us to have more capabilities with less manpower is important. It’s the reason Canadian forces personnel are some of the most well trained and capable of many tasks. It’s the reason Canadian snipers and special forces are highly regarded and feared by adversaries. Bare bones budget and small numbers you specialize in what gives you the biggest bang for your buck.

This is just one example that proves your point, Canadian forces are well trained and are very good at what they do.
Of the eight longest recorded sniper kills, there are three Canadians in the top five.
"In mid-2017, the sniping community was rocked by incredible news: a Canadian sniper team operating in the Middle East had made a successful kill at a distance of more than two miles. The team, deployed to fight the Islamic State, killed an ISIS fighter at a distance of 3,871 yards. The shot was a record breaker and more than a thousand yards farther than the previous world record.'
