Russias demographics are worse than China coupled with alcoholism, drug abuse, high rates of TB, and general poverty. If you aren’t fortunate to live in the metropolitan cities such as Moscow St Petersburg or Vladivostok prospects for you aren’t too great. However this war ends Russia is left with over a million men either dead from the war or simply left the country of baby making age. In the past Paraguay decided to invade Brazil and it ended up most of the men were wiped out. So much so the government made polygamy legal so the widows had someone to possibly marry. Not saying this would happen in Russia but it sure took Paraguay a long time to recover their population even with allowing Mennonites to settle there. As well, outside of their allies like Iran, third world Africa, Venezuela, etc they’ve alienated themselves from the economies which matter. BRICS fan fiction is simply that. A group of nations pissed off with the western hegemony but can’t get their own shit together let alone tolerate one another to mount anything meaningful as a counter to the greenback or Euro. If they truly wanted to put Russia Iran Venezuela China or the Saudis in their place they’d encourage North American oil gas and mineral exploration and production along with domestic manufacturing. Take away the means of these bad actors to do bad things by not doing business with them. Understand?

This is all just internal politics about how the war is being waged. The wagner group is on the front line facing NATOS bs every day. They want to go nuclear and eradicate Ukraine.
