98-year-old Yaroslav Hunka would have been between the ages of 6-9 during that time period and therefore is a Holodomor survivor who no doubt would still have memories of what took place in Ukraine.
Ever go hungry between those ages Jazz, watch your family members or neighbors starve to death? What would your feelings be toward the ones who inflicted the starvation and death upon your family and fellow countrymen.
What a decision teenager Yaroslav Hunka had to make, choose Stalin the one responsible for the Holodomor and death by starvation of 5,000,000 Ukrainians which he witnessed, or choose what the rest of the world eventually found out about after WW2 Hilter's Holocaust and the genocide of 6,000,000 Jews.
No doubt there were 100s of thousands of confused young Ukrainians with the same haunting memories of Stalin's Holodomor having to make a decision on what side of WW2 to be on with influencers pulling in both directions.
Both men equally evil, but Stalin was an ally during WW2 and therefore Hunka more than likely influenced by others made the wrong choice when siding with Hitler.
As for Stalin liberating many concentration camps, he was Hitler's ally up till June of 1941 and supplied the Nazi's with raw materials for their war machine while the Russians occupied Eastern Poland up until that time period. Obviously Stalin had no problem with what the Nazi's were doing to the Jews in Poland until Hitler's Germany launched Operation Barbarossa.
Jazz it's not hard for anybody on Agriville figure out why you swallowed up the Putin's Denazification B.S. as the reason for his unjustified invasion of Ukraine. Just read what you post.
