Our society is so judgemental. Who cares? If people are happy living with some one of the same gender, great. It’s the ones who marry the opposite sex and drive their husbands/wives to destroy themselves that I
really despise. There are married people who make their mate’s life a living hell. Live and let live, that’s how I feel.

Our good friend’s daughter has married another woman. They are both Olympic hockey players and life seems to be going pretty well. They have a condo in Calgary, a new cottage in Montana and just bought a ski chalet in Kimberley. They are about 45 now and have been married for about five years. It takes all types.

And at a societal level, who do all of these childless people( of all stripes) expect is going to pay for their social security when they get old? With the direction of our demographics, there won't be enough taxpayers to come close to financially supporting the retirees, let alone look after them in their old age.

At some point in the future, will old age benefits be indexed to how many future taxpayers your brought into the world?

Taxed the same as everyone else, and yet no kids to put thru the education system or burden the health care system. So since they helped look after my kids while they were growing up, then i guess my kids can help look after them when they are old and alone.

Who is going to feed and wipe their ass when they are in a care home? Society falls apart if there is no next generation. Years ago I heard a stat that the cost to the parents to raise one child to 18yrs old is 1 million. Only a left winger like yourself would have children that are a burden on the system. The rest of us raise our children with the skills and mindset to be productive members of society. You win the brain dead award.
