Chuck is an all or nothing kind of person.

In his mind you cannot be skeptical about something, you’re either 100% for it or 100% against it.

He needs to ignore a lot in life or he’d have a life crisis almost daily trying to wrap his head around how peoples minds actually work. I guess he’s read too many papers on the evolution of brain surgery yet no papers on the evolution of understanding human psychology.

And if I'm honest with myself, I actually admire people who are able to live their lives in such blissful ignorance, who are so confident that there is a right and wrong answer to everything, and that their personal worldview is always the right one.
It's like living in a spaghetti western. Good guys wear white bad guys wear black, there are no shades of Gray.
Life would be much less stressful if I could just put my head in the sand, fingers in my ears, and call someone a flat eartherevery time I encounter information which challenges my own personal opinions. Instead, I have to confront that information and reconcile it with everything else I thought I knew, like all other mature reasonable intelligent adults have to do.

How about a chance to redeem yourself, chuck. Answer this one simple question which I have been asking you for years and years and years.
If you're not an ideologue, and your views are flexible, rather than politically motivated according to a predetermined agenda, then you should be able to answer this question.
What is your line in the Sand that would cause you to question the global warming narrative?
What metric, and what time period do you have in the back of your mind?
Or is global warming a sacred cow which no amount of contrary evidence could ever disprove? Is the overthrow of capitalism so important, that you would be willing to overlook 2° of cooling over the next 20 years?

Some days, I almost get the impression that Chuck doesn't realize this is all a game. He almost seems to take his role in my sport far too seriously. Almost as if he really thinks he has a reputation to uphold, or dignity to defend.
Don't tell him this, but that reaction makes it far more satisfying on my end

Now that the real flat earthers have come out of the closet and are posting regularly on Agrisilly and their enablers and sympathizers just play along as if nothing is wrong.

Agrilly has been home to right wing paranoia and other not for public fringe views for a long time. The flat earthers are just the icing on the wacky cake.

Sometimes you get soooooo close to sounding like an adult and having an actual conversation instead the postulating you usually do.

And then you devolve back into the land of LOLs, nick names used in condescension, and acting like a broken record.

It's ok if you didn't understand what I meant when I said you'd trained people to ignore you. None of us thought you'd catch on to the fact you do it and I have no peer reviewed research papers to back it up and break it down for you.

(If the only way you can think to reply to this is "Why don't you call others out for using nick names condescendingly" or "I only repeat myself because nobody ever answers my questions or can supply links to support their opinions" then don't worry about it. We all know your replies just as well as you, there's no reason to.... be a broken record.)
