I have had some conversations with our MLA about the leverage they have against Ottawa, and how it can and is being used.
These moves all makes perfect sense when you have the context.
Unfortunately, they have not made any successful effort to educate the electorate about the closed door machinations between Ottawa and the provinces on these issues.
So the electorate just thinks this is an additional tax, or they are going to lose their CPP, or eliminating the RCMP will cost more etc.
The reason these and similar issues are being trotted out precisely is because these are the issues where the provinces have autonomy, and under the current system, we fund a disproportionate amount of the federal total. Hence threatening to change these programs gives the provinces great leverage in all other programs where we may not have the same legislative jurisdiction.
But judging by the predictable responses by the left on here, even if this was explained clearly, this is clearly far beyond their pay grade anyways.

And here is Quebec, shes all one way with these guys, sucking up all the transfer and 30% less productive per capita than AB/SK.
The west is literally building them into their own nation within a nation, running it all, taking it all.
Quebec literally had a 200 yr head start on the west and here we are carrying them.

Legacy Christian in Saskatoon had a problem with sexual deviants and abuse by some of their staff.
The class action lawsuit by the numerous victims names the province of Saskatchewan as well former staff and Two Mile Church.
The school was also not following the the provincial science curriculum. The associated Mile Two Church also tried to cover up sexual abuse by one of it's Sunday school teachers.

'Perfect victims': Culture, teachings left scars on former Sask. students
"As allegations of sexual and physical abuse swirl around a Saskatchewan Christian School, students say the curriculum and teachers left them unprepared later in life.
The night after charges were laid against Legacy’s former athletics director, Caitlin Erickson turned on her phone and began to record a video.
Speaking to people through her popular Tik Tok account, Erickson condemned those who sat in the church pews and knew about the allegations, accusing them of doing nothing over decades.

Erickson attended the school from 1992 to 2005 and has accused a former Sunday school teacher of sexually abusing her.
“Every time they do not handle things properly, it just paves the way for the next abuser to come in and do the same thing,†she said. “We were raised to be the perfect victims.â€
Many former students have said they couldn’t leave when they were younger because their families would face total exile. Speaking out wasn’t an option.
Hutchinson is among many former Christian Centre Academy (CCA) students who were taught the Loch Ness Monster was evidence dinosaurs exist today, as part of controversial teachings that have appeared to span decades.
But it wasn’t only what he and others were taught that would affect them later in life. It was the Saskatoon school’s culture and alleged abusive environment, they say, where children could not question authority.

CCA, now known as Legacy Christian Academy, has been embroiled in a $25 million class action lawsuit in which former students have accused the school and its connected church of perpetrating and allowing sexual abuse, the spanking of students, fondling of minors and other physical and psychological abuse.
In early February, the school’s former athletics director was charged with sexual assault and exploitation of a minor while in a position of trust or authority."Last edited by chuckChuck; May 12, 2023, 16:12.

Is it possible that you have confused the CRA with the cca? This was a threat about tax collection. I'm not following the segue.

Nope.
Furrow brought up sexual deviants in the schools so I thought I should mention the sexual abuse at Legacy Christian and 2 mile Church. The school that teaches man walked with dinosaurs and that the lochness monster is real and also teaches that homosexuality is evil and they are all going to hell. Largely paid for by Saskatchewan tax payers. It go so bad the Province had to take them over.Last edited by chuckChuck; May 13, 2023, 07:09.
