Your so caught up in the spin chuck you pasted up an article about a company from Greece coming to Alberta to harvest taxpayer funded subsidies.
Did you not think that sounded a odd?
A company coming from one of the sunniest countries in the world with EU subsidies for renewables?
They see Alberta, with 5% capacity factor on solar for a large part of the year, as a great investment opportunity?
With the time you spend on MSM you must know Greece is the EU's version of Quebec.
The economy exists on bailouts and subsidies.
They know everything there is to know about corruption.
That stuff is all coming fast enough with our current government.

Your being misled Chuck.

Wrong again!
The investment by Mytilineos represents a new phase in Greek industry. A decade ago, the country was effectively bankrupt and on the verge of leaving the euro zone. The austerity programs demanded in exchange for bailouts overseen by the Troika – the European Central Bank, the European Commission and the International Monetary Fund – plunged Greece into economic depression, crippling many employers and killing their investment plans.
Today, Greece is one of the fastest-growing economies in the European Union, and some Greek companies are expanding abroad. Mr. Mytilineos said he is “proud†to be making a substantial Greek investment in Canada.

With all that rapid growth at home why come to Alberta with single didget capacity factors? What is attracting them here?
Greece appears to be a much more attractive place to invest in solar.
Can they not qualify for subsidies there?
The EU might have more oversight for Greek companies?
