But the righties are okay if Danny tried to interfere in the justice system and got caught on video and changed her story multiple times and then apologized finally for her ethical lapse! LOL

At least the CBC retracted the part about the emails because in the end their source could not confirm their existence.

But the rest of the story about Danny was true and matters more than the emails. But you will ignore that like good con sheep! LOL

Now she needs to tell him that Alberta will not be complying with pretty much everything else being conceived of in lieberal fantasy land. This includes things like disarmament, no ICE vehicles, etc. etc...

Yup As Jason Kenney predicted the loonys have taken over the asylum in Alberta!

The richest province per capita with incredible amounts of resource revenue and all they can talk about is how life is so hard in one of the richest countries in the world? Even Saudia Arabia is planning to diversify its economy before its too late.

As Doug Ford said its just politics!

Both Danny and Curly Moe agree with a net zero electrical grid they are just concerned about the time line thinking 2035 is too soon.

A few more years in this decade of exceptional heat, drought and forest fires and maybe, just maybe the climate change deniers will start to figure out the cost of human caused climate change. But I doubt it.

Well first off, you think Alberta doesn’t have a diverse economy?

Secondly, since it’s more likely you mean diverse energy sector, there’s been multiple comments lately about renewable projects on the go in Alberta. Yeah, when they’re taking away land you’ve been farming or hitting your yard with flicker or someone’s trying to act like they’re a far superior energy source, then reality can bite.

Chuck what do you think Alberta can do to have the greatest effects on WORLD co2 emissions?

Build a couple of med sized solar fields that operate at single digit capacity factor or ship all the LNG they can produce to replace rising coal consumption in Asia?

It's not about "denial". It's realistically looking at what we can do with the abundance of resources that we have.

Australia's per capita GDP has grown to 10% higher than ours. To me that says something is wrong here.

Alberta needs to come to terms with the fact that the vast majority of the oil sands are going to have to stay in the ground to avoid out of control irreversible climate change that would be an economic and ecological disaster.

Stephen Harper said clearly Canada needs to stop burning fossil fuels as an energy source. So its going to happen sooner or later.

And of course the oil companies don't agree, just like tobacco companies said smoking doesn't cause cancer!

Sure, but you need a viable alternative to replace O&G and you need it to be affordable enough that the population can utilize it.

You think the current state of renewables makes it a reliable replacement?

You think people can afford to switch over all their energy sources and vehicles, specifically within the next ten years?

I have no faith in either at the moment. Doesn’t matter how much I support the technology and premise, it’s not ready for what you, politicians, and Greta, want it to do. If you force it too soon it’s going to fail and then there will be nothing.

It will take a long time no doubt. These are target dates dates not a sure thing. As long as we are heading in the right direction we have some hope that we will get there before its to late.

But its a given that we are going to have to stop releasing so much fossil carbon and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
