Thank you to all the Sask Power linemen who were out most of the night getting as much fixed as possible.

We were off for for maybe 2hrs around midnight.

Working with down high voltage power lines in the wind and rain in the dark sounds a lot worse than going out checking cows and calves a few bad nights.

Remember when you told us you are a capitalist farmer? Enjoying unprecedented prices and profits this past couple of years.
Have you already sent out your own rebate cheques to your customers?

Around Nipawin I assume. How bad was the wind? Rain Hail?

3 tenths at the yard here
West and North 1 in +
Lots of noise and wind here but no obvious damage.
Very little rain in Nipawin but sounds like big wind damage around town.
No power, cell phone, internet, land lines for a while this am.

Kind of a SHTF test run.

Had a nice camp fire breakfast.

No cows bawling for water as the power came back on.

For Chuck, only his vision is righteous.

If the oil companies are taking advantage of the 100% capital cost write down plus many other incentives for green investments, who is paying for them?

One glaring they neglected to point out , and by far the most obvious is that this is Canada , it’s winter here 5 months of the year when mileage drops dramatically on EV’s . Cost per charge per km goes up 2-3x . That’s the reality and fact of the lack of EV adoption, especially in the prairies where distances travelled are far greater than Urban areas of Southern BC , southern Ontario and the Maritime provinces.

There’s for sure two large solar farms I know of within an hour of me with at least another two planned.

Also major wind expansion going on.

If someone thinks there isn’t projects happening in Alberta then it’s because they haven’t gone for a drive.

Ya lots of “free federal “ money getting pumped into many projects to help with big companies ESG policies. Hopefully they make a difference long term before their life expectancy hits a wall .
                              Cost to taxpayers is huge

Waste money - just raise taxes, easy, peasy
