Chuck has his own faith based beliefs that he preaches at every opertunity.
Reminiscent of the original JW's when they used to come preaching the end of the world on a specific date that kept refreshing as required.
Seemed to take a couple of generations for them to realize the apocalyptic predictions wasn't happening.
There was a time you avoided eye contact but now mostly they are not preachy and about the same as any other friends and acquaintances.
We can only hope.

I've never received an answer.
But have encountered some prophets who eventually disappear rather than admit they've been conned, such as many on here, or just quietly move on to the next doomsday scenario.Last edited by AlbertaFarmer5; Jul 4, 2023, 19:28.

The biggest impediment to accessing post secondary colleges and education in the US is poverty.
Several of the the top universities give preference to the children of alumni and donors. Legacy admissions.
And of course it's minorities who are often poor and marginalized who are discriminated against the most.
In Canada poverty is also an impediment to post secondary training and education. The system is skewed in favour of those with more financial resources and those who come from more successful communities.
Its one of the reasons why the cycle of poverty continues. The deck is stacked against some people and recognizing that and making an effort to reduce the impediments to some groups who are underrepresented is good economic and social policy.

How much do First Nations have to pay for post secondary education?
Is it the same as all ?
Don’t know just asking
I know I have worked 2 jobs for 30 years and my wife a teacher for 25 to help our kids get into and through university. Plus all kids work to help pay their way . That’s much the same with many people I know . Nothing easy about it no matter what community you’re from .
Make your own path .

Easy for you to say but you didn't grow up on a reserve where the social dysfunction and problems are huge impediments to even graduating high school let alone attending university or college.
So suggesting that relatively poor kids from dysfunctional families are going to overcome all the obstacles and succeed is unlikely. Not impossible but much less likely.
Having a trained teacher in the family who can teach at home is a large advantage in most families.
If your parents have post secondary education then you are more likely to succeed at university and college.
And that's just not the case on most reserves.Last edited by chuckChuck; Jul 5, 2023, 07:09.

Financial situations are not the same as letting someone into a program that they aren’t qualified for.
Allowing a person admittance based on their race or upbringing is not doing them a favour if they don’t have the knowledge to back it up. You can’t just decide to go be a biologist and gain admittance without having proper pre requisites and sufficient grades. If they let you, you’d hate your life and likely drop out.
What are the stats for AA students that make it through and graduate? If they fail is the blame going to be put on how they were raised or the fact they were admitted into a program based on qualifications beyond education.
You don’t build a persons confidence or make them successful at life by setting them up to fail like that.
