    Edmonton Land Grab

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmon...park-1.6895604

Turn over to feds, then to the natives. And then to the WEF.

Man Edmonton has really gone off the rails. Hopefully Danni stops this in its tracks.

Yes Chuck, I drive 1-3 hours into the cities so that I can enjoy their parks.

It’s not like I’m out in Nature already or anything.

It makes sense you want people to all have EVs if you think they do extra curricular driving like that frequently.

Not if Klaus Schwabs name is on the park.

Why do the feds need to be involved for a city to have a nice park, especially one that has our major river traversing it.

They should FO and make parks in Nunavut or something.

And the feds have such a great track record of managing the national parks they already have.

The mountain parks are a massive fire risk to all surrounding regions. They would not allow any thing to be done to manage pine beetles, as they spread into surrounding forests.
No parking at the tourist attractions.
No allowance for expansion to accommodate the tourists who want to come and spend money.
The bison in Wood Buffalo are chronically infected with Tuberculosis and Brucellosis, which the feds refuse to do anything about, while risking the spread to cattle populations.

Meanwhile, just like everything else in Canada, the lions hare of the revenue to the National Parks system comes from the parks in Alberta.

I dont understand why they want to push for a national park.. just stick with provincial and have more control, probably with less oversight and less redundancy.
We farm 30 mins outside of Edmonton and i personally have biked/ walked probably 75% of the river valley.. and it is fantastic.
There would be absolutely nothing with with zoning it off for 0 residential growth ( which i assume is the push for this?) But unsure how a federal park helps over a provincial?
i think Edmonton has the largest amount of trails ( by linear distamce) out of any major city in the northern hemisphere.
Now.. if youve been down there recently there are alot of areas that are being overrun by homeless ( including the LRT system.. * light rail*) but thats a query for another !!day...
Its strange times with the current city council. Alot of pie in the sky thinking ( it seems) and cost overruns.. with very little oversight. That being said, places in and around Edmonton ( fort saskatchewan, sherwood park, st albert, beaumont) are all selling in hours, not days.. and often above value. So it would seem we have jobs in the region and people are flocking here again ...
So .. maybe having nice things downtown is actually working?

More loony conspiracy crap from Jazz that the land is going to go to the WEF in the end? LOL

Prince Albert, Grasslands, Banff and Jasper will be next no doubt!
