In theory that is the way it is supposed to work. Governments looks after infrastructure like bridges, highways, hospitals. And security like the military and the police. The responsible spending of tax dollars collected. And certainly they are in charge of crafting the regulations under which we live and work. But today’s government under leaders like Justin Trudeau are more interested in increasing the cost and reach of government. And yes taxes should be used for future needs but not for income redistribution which is what the carbon tax is being used for.

So long as my taxes are going to Ukraine, Africa , climate change or to Quebec and the GTA for people to vote against my interests I have no problem clawing back as much of my taxes as possible anf sheltering all the income I can.

You are aware they can rewrite the inheritance laws with a stroke of a pen as well. They are floating that very idea in the US since retard Biden got in. Its been all regulation under Trudeau for 8 yrs.

Very True. Us old farm folks can live comfortably with a couple of meals a day and as long as we can afford heat and lights in our homes. Once over the "hill" even "vacations" are not a priority.... Spending time with family and helping our community is a wonderful privilege... teaching and sharing blessings... is plenty enough reward for myself and my better half!

Giving it all away... no need to pay any capital gains tax! Very Simple estate... when I am worth nothing...financially... nothing left for: bleeding heart liberals... communists... or any of the greedy arrogant left wing politicians...
