It takes a long time to warm the oceans. But once this happens permanent El Nino like conditions on a scale that will require more than prayers and blessings.

And since this won't happen in your lifetime I guess its somebody else problem?

And as I predicted nobody found any credible scientific organization to back up their opinions!

"CO2 levels are now comparable to the Pliocene Climatic Optimum, between 4.1 and 4.5 million years ago, when they were close to, or above 400 ppm. During that time, sea levels were between 5 and 25 meters higher than today offsite link, high enough to drown many of the world’s largest modern cities. Temperatures then averaged 7 degrees Fahrenheit higher than in pre-industrial times, and studies indicate offsite link that large forests occupied today’s Arctic tundra."

Why do you suppose they referred to that era as a climate optimum?
Do you understand the meaning of optimum?

Credible scientific organizations have lost a large part of their credibility.

When they come up with studies like the one you recently quoted about Canada's forests being carbon emitters they have zero credibility.

There is a serious "Greenlash" building around the world as people see how much they are being asked to pay and how much they have to give up.

Many more Governments are standing up and saying they aren't playing that game anymore.

Growing number of scientists speaking out as well.
IPCC getting questioned a little more.
          Finally.
2/3 of the world only gave the Chucks lip service. They were smart enough not to let them ruin what economy they had.
Only a wealthy/foolish government would give a Chuck a checkbook.

Have to wonder how much more tax the 1/3 of the world will vote for when the targets are unachievable?

The meaning of optimum in this case is "the period of highest prevailing temperatures".

Which is quite different than no ice at the poles and a 5-25 meter sea level rise which you seem to think would be good for the planet? That's an optimum planet?

You really are confused and pretty naive about climate change if you believe that stupid idea. But then again you have put some pretty strange and silly ideas out before.

Did you notice the timeline of the image I posted?

Don't see any changes like you are describing happening in a miniscule period of time like you seem to be expecting.

The Dinosaurs were here for 165 million years, more or less a few million, till a huge asteroid took them out relatively quickly.

How long do you think it will take for the sea level to rise to take out those current coastal cities and more important how long do you think it will take to reduce the CO2 level to stop the glaciers from melting?

In which dictionary did you find that meaning. Merriam Webster still claims it means the best possible conditions.

Or did the left redefine the word optimum to suit their agenda?

But don't get upset with me for asking the obvious questions. Perhaps you need to take it up with the credible scientific organizations who named every warm period where life on earth flourished as an optimum. Perhaps you need to tell all of the climatologists and paleoclimatologists that they are wrong.

And that all of the evidence is wrong. The evidence showing that when the earth warms, it causes CO2 levels to rise, which causes life on earth which relies on photosynthesis as the base of the food chain to explode higher.
But maybe this time is different.

Universities and MSM on television are effective and get the desired results on sponges.
