Hate to say it but I have a friend who paid for two private MRI’s. Sorry to say they missed a tumour on his spine, by time he got into a government MRI the tumour was 6 inches by 12 inches. He is being treated and the tumour is shrinking, hopefully he will survive, he’s fighting like hell and a terrific professional.
A lot of these conditions get missed or brushed off. A very close relative had a bad blood test Jan 2019. His GP sent him to haematologist who brushed him off, he said, “lots of guys are walking around with blood like that. “
We just buried this 74 year old after 1.5 years fighting Myelo Fibrosis with bone marrow transplant and severe side effects. The Saskatoon doctors say if only they had caught this two years ago, the bone marrow would have been able to recover. It’s sad, you really do need second opinion.Last edited by sumdumguy; Sep 13, 2023, 09:20.

Like... weed to expand your mind?
Lol
Just teasing. I know you meant imaging.
Nice to hear of a success story
. Obvious that the 2 million donation in sask mustve come with some questions.
I imagine it will be donated in the end.
I recently bought a piece of land and FCC needed bank statements to show where the money had come from...ie, not drug money i guess?
Its good some one is doing some home work finally but i told them no. I wont be supplying you that. If you would like this 500 k land mortgage then you will look at my yearly updated net worth statement and tax returns. You dont need to see how money gets into my account... Oh, wait..i already have well over 2 million in loans with already and you know im a grain farmer for the last 14 years on a 5th generation farm in alberta?
Yeah. Suck it. Lol
I DO appreciate that theyre doing homework though... now... finally...

And before Chuckbot issues his patent statement, I'll just respond right now.
This does not have to be an all or none.
Health care is not the wheat board.
His blanket stance is that all who seek profit are bad. Oil, grain, medical, what have you. So singular and rigid it's really a detriment to conversation. Constant PA comments show a feeling of hurt rather than thought.
So, affect change in the minds of those involved. Work towards buy in of strategy change. Policies and paychecks leave a minefield of CYA. All shouting for more money, but don't look where it goes. Unions, just for one, are now worse than corporations for greed and total lack of scrutiny and ROI.
Brain dead boondoggle is our worst enemy.
One wonders, how in the world has the Mayo Clinic survived all this time?
It starts with theory taught to the young. Sadly all the proffs are now Chucks.

I can certainly appreciate the gesture of trying to donate the money for the machine. But as others have alluded to, I assume the ongoing operating costs, and associated infrastructure with dwarf the cost of the machine.
This would be like giving a sports car to a 12-year-old kid. By the time he buys insurance and registration and pays a chauffeur and buys fuel and tires and repairs, The price of the car becomes irrelevant.Last edited by AlbertaFarmer5; Sep 13, 2023, 11:15.
