And big fires because humans have been trying to stop them for the last 100 years or so. It’s so bad that in the Banff area, I see they are cutting up deadfall’s and burning them in the wintertime to try to reduce the risk of fire in the summer.

The smoke blocks out the Sun and cools the atmosphere. It can also increase precipitation if moist air comes along as water vapour will attach to particles in the air. Isn’t that what you want Chuck?? Or is cooling bad? Warming bad? More rain bad? Less rain bad? Everything is bad?

It’s climate. It never stays the same. 4 seasons is the only sure thing. There is millions of combinations of temperatures and precipitation in season, in a year, hence I will agree, the climate has always been changing. Remember, mile thick ice, right here, and no fossil fuels. Why is it gone?

The climate has always changed! No shit?

So greenhouse gases don't cause climate change?

The evidence is clear humans are causing a very significant amount of climate change, but not all of it.

The last time CO2 levels were this high was 3 million years ago and temperatures were much warmer than present. Most of the recent warming has gone into the oceans.

"The annual rate of increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide over the past 60 years is about 100 times faster than previous natural increases, such as those that occurred at the end of the last ice age 11,000-17,000 years ago."

      So..
What do you propose we do about it?
Id go full electric and huge huge solar arrays if we could. But right now we just cant. My combines still run diesel.
      So does everything else.

I did notice how you always seem to glass over any particularly insightful comments chuck chuck..
Or the other day in another psot when i mentioned how you fail to lambaste our selling of coal to china...but constantly go after albertans and danielle smith * she sucks by the way..just as a human* and everything that makes canada hummm......

Probably just glass over this again eh?
Or the previous comment about how forest fire fuel increases..and increases.. over time..

Kind of like baby boomers and canadian population...
Eventualllyyy our boomer population was going to get old and be a real drain on our healthcare system ( alcohol...ciagarettes in the 60s thru 80s.) Then when the system becomes overrun and there arent enough places to do hip surgery....wellll... the sky is falling!

Then they all die...and our population decreases more rapidly than in the past

Just more ripening fuel for the grim reaper...

      But seriously tho.
      Chuck

Russia has 3 times the boreal forest that Canada does and they had no wild fires this summer or ever.

“Climate Induced Wildfires” - so we are now at spontaneous combustion? Who actually believes this.
