We are not ignoring it at all just accepting that it is a very small part of the inflation we are currently seeing. And dwarfed by market price increases in oil. Thanks to Russia and OPEC.

"Trevor Tombe, the University of Calgary economist, According to his calculations, these knock-ons do add to the impact of inflation, but they certainly don't double or triple the blow. In Ontario, the direct and indirect effects inflate prices by 0.207 per cent a year. In Alberta, it's 0.1875 per cent.

In other words, we can rightly blame Trudeau's carbon tax for about one-fifteenth of Ontario's current inflation, or one-sixteenth of Alberta's. "Relatively small," is how Macklem put it."

Newguy you obviously have no problem with the carbon tax imposed by the Federal Liberal’s. Simple question, how has the carbon tax made a positive difference on your farm?

It was designed to reduce carbon emissions which every industrialized country is trying to do.

It makes alternative lower carbon emmison options more attractive.

Even Alberta and Saskatchewan are moving towards lower emissions and have their own large emmiiters carbon tax system.

There is a cost to reducing emisssions. Crypto's plan will also cost more.

Increasing carbon emissions and climate change also have a cost.

You keep telling us they are already the cheapest options. Why would they need government market manipulation to make them attractive?

You really can't decide how many S's, I's or M's should be in emissions, in one post you have tried emmisions, emmissions, emisssions, emmiiters. Perhaps you should stick with calling it the more accurate moniker of plant food, it is easier to spell.

Since when are increased crop yields, drought tolerance, and greening of the earth considered a cost?

China is leading both the manufacture and implementation of EVs and renewable energy.

EVs are currently not the lowest cost option although they will close that gap soon. Wind and solar are some of the lowest cost generation sources in the world.

And drought, heat and increased extreme weather events are not improving yields are they? The exact opposite!

But then you are the guy who claims we are going to run out of CO2 and that cooling and an ice age is a bigger worry than human caused global warming! LOL

Thanks for the grocery list of climate change denier myths and distortions!

China is becoming increasingly dangerous and irrelevant. I wouldn’t believe anything they say or anything you see there. A lot of their “green” schemes are Potemkin villages.
