Lack of specialist in Saskatchewan due to low fees

The cardiologist in Moose Jaw who withdrew from Saskatchewan Health and wants to run a private clinic cited the very low fees paid by the SHA compared to Alberta and Manitoba.

Curly Moe is under funding healthcare in Saskatchewan and that's one of the reasons we have a shortage of doctors and specialists.

We also have some of the longest wait times for new hips and knee surgery!

What is wrong with Curly Moe and the gang? Are they just a bunch of cheapskates in a resource rich province? Or are they totally clueless?

More worried about pronouns. Health not important.

Wait times for surgery are the result of the lack of OR time. OR time is maxed out in Southern Sask as the Pasqua and the General are maxed out and Doctors would do more surgeries but can’t. Need the whole team available, the nurses, the anesthetist, and all the other staff, clerks, etc. Only way to fix this is to do surgery at night. But can’t staff night surgery other than for emergencies.

So it is clear, a 3rd surgical hospital in Regina is needed. We had one. The Plains Health Center. Perfect situated by the Ring Road. 600 acres of Parking. Lots of room to land Helicopters. Room for an airstrip even. But the NDP closed it. Still an unbelievable mistake haunting us to this day. Imagine if we had that fully staffed surgical hospital right now….

Moe turns down a 2 million donation offer. Moe has his own vision of the future health care.except the present is a s**t show.would not be surprised to see a company like Brandt to get involved in private health care and that is why the government did not want to own another MRI machine.

Moe didn't turn the donation down. The leftist operatives in sha tried to dictate where the mri went contrary to donors intention and that ended it. Nice try.

Surely this can’t be true ?
The NDP? Protector of the common people ?
              Surely you are mistaken?

If I can't have it, you don't deserve it.

How many decades ago was the Plains closure? LOL

The problems we have, have been managed for how long by Brad Wall since 2007 and now Curly Moe.

That was plenty of time to build and fund more capacity.

But it's still all the NDPs fault? LOL

The problem is the Sask Party and Curly's gang that is badly underfunding and degrading the healthcare system.

Manitoba just elected a premier that promised to improve healthcare and we have a premier who picks on the most vulnerable children with an emergency sitting and the not withstanding clause in record time while people wait months for a biopsy and surgery? Shame on them!
