Every government has the responsibility to protect its citizens and regardless of what happened during covid.

Imagine what would happen in a pandemic where the death rate is 15%, 25% or 50%. Do you really think any government would oppose taking measures to reduce the spread? Or oppose vaccines? Not a chance.

Danny wants to put politicians in charge of making all pandemic decisions instead of chief medical health officers. Essentially she wants average citizens with no knowledge of health science to make decisions based on politics instead of science.

      This really concerns me.
We cannot presuppose that Alberta will always elect benevolent responsible governments.
As evidenced by our past disasterous flirtation with the NDP.
This would backfire spectacularly if the Marxists get back in again.
I want less power in the hands of politically motivated uninformed politicians, not more.

Then you should tell Danny and her TBA supporters that it is wrong to put politicians in charge and leave it to the experts who studied past pandemics and know what works and what doesn't, to manage the next emergency.

Chuck why are you so concerned about Smith and despise most Albertans, yet glorify studies from a select handful at the U of C all at the same time .
Your obsession with Albertans is kinda unhealthy .
I guess it’s entertainment to see what virtue signalling tangents you will go on next .

Alberta gave his beloved NDP a chance then punted the socialist pricks at the first opportunity. That’s why

In BC 2,494 healthcare workers did not take jab and were terminated , why would that many be prepared let their job go before they would take the so called safe jab ? their is a court case starting today , will be interesting to see outcome of that

Jeez health care workers as part of their job, have to prevent the spread of disease to vulnerable and sick patients? Say it aint so!

And to top it all off, they have to wash their hands between patients! I am outraged!

yes take a jab that dont stop transmision , what a joke that was

Huh? Vaccines reduce the transmission and incidence of the flu, covid, shingles, small pox, TB etc at different rates. But any reduction is good healthcare especially in the vulnerable.

But Crop, you are going to avoid all healthcare services and technology that has risk and isnt a 100% effective! Right!

Does the concept of relative risk mean anything to you?
If someone is diagnosed with a malady with 100% mortality rate, they would risk any untested procedure.
conversely, according to the WHO, COVID fatality rate is 0.04%.
                        You do the math.

And I don't offer this as a purely hypothetical situation.
In 1994, doctors saved my father's life with an experimental animal drug.

Yes the benefits of covid vaccines vastly outweigh the very very small risk.

That's why even in Alberta and Saskatchewan health care officials continue to recommend the flu and covid vaccines.

And I have posted many times credible research that makes that point.
