detachable pedestal seats for 3 corners for fishing .
it’s an older 2006 but irreplaceable to me . No way can afford to replace it .
Just try to maintain as well as I can .
Did all seats last year by a local guy .

no 2 boat guy , just this used for everything , but kids all busy with jobs so unfortunately not as much family time as a few years ago . But that’s life

Every time I do training courses like this it amazes me more farmers and farm employees aren’t seriously injured or killed. Between confined space and fall restraint there’s a lot of work done on the premise that nothing bad will happen.

60% of the Dead were would-be rescuers.

Last time I took an H2S course and these statistics came up. At the end I suggested to the instructor that based on statisticsthe best course of action is to walk (run)away while there's only one victim.
Not that any of us could actually do that when it is a friend or coworker.

H2S training I had was run like hell and don't stop for anything. Specifically instructed not aid anyone.
I too am a little surprised there isn't more farm injuries, (that we know of). It takes one person to stop, pause and think!!
Confined space O2 levels. Falls. Hoisting, lifting. Proper tools, techniques. I've often felt the desire for a course in that.
Pulled the neighbor out twice this spring. All he had was a chain and farm implement clevises admix with one too short, too small strap......
          I came with shackles.....
We never did find the one clevis after she flew. "Farmers use clevises, everyone else uses shackles"!!
The youngish guys I work with now are willing to learn and listen. Often have oilfield training. It's better.
Surprised you don't hear of more Hutterites taken out.
Job site deaths I've been aware of were young guys who didn't know how to say NO. All run, no think. So ya, training I guess. I've been damn lucky myself. A few stories.
Remember, fools always take innocents with them. You have to be able to walk away and watch them tease the reaper sometimes.
Always prayed my son when the time came, got on with the right group of older guys..

Knew a guy who was pulled out of a O2 limited space. He said no warning, just lights out.

This training emphasized you look after yourself first, you don’t just go in because someone is down. I think all training over the years has said that.

The stat that got me was 0% of fatalities tested any spaces before entering.

So really, an air monitor and a harness are some of the most major pieces of safety equipment that I’d say farms are lacking. Not high cost investment by any means.
