here's a storm picture for Landdownunder...came across it looking for a hobby picture.
I think was 5 years ago as I remember nothing much came from it just a strong wind and a few drops of rain. Just wish I'd got the shot without the junk in the foreground

Wife does dressage/hack ring so not sure about jumping cost.

I've got a friend that does Eventing. The Dressage and Show Jumping is usually pretty tame compared to the wrecks that can happen on the Cross Country course.

Friends laugh when I tell them to be careful what you wish for. Wanted the wife to take an interest in racing but didn't expect her to be more enthusiastic than me lol. She has the yellow car I have the red... both low maintenance. Blue car... new drivetrain lots to sort out.

The tires are designed to absorb and release energy (and stick of course).The car is relatively (500?) low hp and it's set to launch at low rpm so it almost always hooks. If the track is cold or not prepped it can spin though.

I was always a bit partial to Buicks but I realize they were never popular. When I looked for something to restore I wanted something different and in the coupe style. I found that basket case and liked it...I should have had my head read but I was young. Not my family's car. My advice to everyone after restoring that car is, "buy a driver". But what if you can't find one that's done? I'm so far underwater on it it feels like I restored a submarine. But I never did it to make money or thinking I'd ever get my money back. The money sunk into it would have paid for a lifetime of hot holidays... and more... to each their own! I don't tell other people where to spend their money.

There were a couple of 38 caliber bullets found in the passenger side toe kick body pocket. Looks like pistol bullets to me and a little excessive for vermin shooting! I tried doing the car's owner genealogy but ran into dead ends. If only cars could talk.

I really like the lines on your 68 Dodge Coronet(???? correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not that car savvy, what year and model is it?). That, is a nice car!

Curious what the base of the cartridge says. May or may not help date them. Their condition suggests they're not that old.
Actually like two different vintages.
38 autos fairly common before registration mandatory sometime in the 30s.
Many prohibited in the 90s for too short a barrel.
Just don't shoot them in a vintage arm as pressures too high depending.
