Not quite in a dust bowl here yet either. Surprised how little runoff there has been so far.

A month ago I was north east of Calgary, not only was the snow all gone, the runoff had nearly all disappeared already.

Holy Crow, where do you live Blaithin, we were pushing snow here day before yesterday.

SE of Red Deer. Chinook belt. That combined with almost no real snow since end of last year and we’ve been brown for a while. Just the snow banks still sticking around but they’re almost toast. Roads are all dusty.

Didn’t really have any run off. Maybe a day some ditches ran, most didn’t even get that.

Even the bunk line is almost dry.

Sent this to Helmsdale about 10 days ago and nothing has changed much since.
Still looks like full on winter here, but go 50 to 100 kms south of here and the snow slowly dwindles away to next to nothing.

That's pea stubble in the foreground, see the odd brown patch.

Kind of envious of the no snow pictures. Lots of snow here and it hasn’t really melted at all yet. That’s not out of the ordinary for this time of year.
Thought I would dig the banks away from the drill so the sun can find some darker spots and hopefully get it melting.
It was quite a winter of snow wind and cold and glad it’s winding down.

OMG! that's another planet...we have 2' on the level packed snow here, COLD as F, inches of rain equivalent, but WEEKS till we see the dirt as above!

Much like seldomseen, in 2022 we used a snowblower to throw muddy water all over drill to melt snow faster
