You could do some serious damage with that.
Drain the swamp?
The ripper also works really well for ripping tree roots along fencelines. Eliminates losing 50 feet of crop along trees on a dry year like this.

Ignoring the economic necessity of having no income to make the payments in the intervening decades, the next issue is that a few years later, the nearest pulp mill closed down.
The next closest is so far away that if they take any wood from this area it has to be free, and even then they rarely will take it, since trucking costs more than the wood is worth. There are piles of rotting poplars still left over from that era.

My grandpa traded a JD D on rubber for a D on steel. Then he and a blacksmith fabricated some sort of frame for piling bush. I think he used the same tractor to pull a breaking plow. Grandma, Dad and his older sister had the pleasure of picking roots. He also hired natives to pick roots. Unimaginable amount of work.

You can farm and have trees on your land too! Its not just one or the other.
Trees offer many benefits especially in drier areas.
And landowners can and should plant as may trees as they want.
Why is a libertarian suggesting that this is wrong?
A5,the pretend libertarian who wants to tell everyone what is right or wrong and what they should do?

Since this is the pictures thread, perhaps Chuck can post some pictures of all the trees he has planted, since he is touting the many benefits of trees, and suggesting landowners should plant trees.

Poplar trees cost us more yield every year than any other weed. A half mile of trees completely wipes out an acre either side of it from sucking all the moisture and nutrients, plus shade. I don't even bother seeding that close. The next 2 acres beyond that are far below average.
Suckers pop up well over 100 feet from the nearest tree. Suckers still coming up on land we cleared 6 years ago.
A constant battle to keep them from creeping in fro
