My tomatoes are flowering. But the temperatures aren’t cooperating to move them outside.

Those tomatoes need to go out, for sure. Like last week. Just remembered - I was told that if your tomatoes are over grown, plant them a foot deep with just the top sticking out.

Yeah, you can even plant them laying down, their stems will grow roots all the way.

The determinant ones are alright but the cherry tomatoes are indeterminants and they’re the ones 3 fee tall with flowers ????♀️ I may just put them in pots so I can more easily put them on the step during the day at least.

Ha! Hey, speaking of tomatoes going outside, do you use tomato cages? And, have you ever seen that white light-weight garden cloth that comes in one big long piece? Peavey Mart has it, I think. I have used a tomato cage and wrapped this cloth around it to create a little mini greenhouse. Protects from wind too which is great when planting carrot seed tape that needs consistent moisture.

Lilac is covered in flowers this year

My grandson and I are attempting to propagate especially nice lilacs from cuttings. We are using rooting agents from Dutch Growers.

Framed houses so I could buy a ranch and 25 years later I sold some yearlings so I could buy a framing tool, I guess I’ve come full circle. Having a man lift is almost cheating.
