Crazy to think how hard our forefathers worked to make a living here after the hard core socialism and totalitarianism they all left , most with very little in the 1900’s to finally live a free life here
let us never forget

it’s amazing home some can’t grasp it
lose 10-20% to flooding or too wet is far less than 100% gone to drought cause the other 90 to 80% is great , fact

1 or more of 3 things affect an older gambrel barn.
Poor foundation. No maintenance. Economical construction and design. Essentially this one suffered all 3.
And they're not easily converted or restored without twice the cash to build new.
Insurance replaced shingles in the 90s. Cupola falling off 5 years ago. She had a lean.
It was actually a relief for me once done.
I respect your sentiment and opinion. It made the news here. But posters on the County FB page fell in two camps.
Those who write checks and those who don't.
It was really just a museum for one. Perhaps that's another definition for mausoleum lol.
A hindrance when I'm gone. I choose a different legacy.
