I think Martin was pretty smart to offer the tuition thing? Might get a few kids out to vote and probably a lot of parents? I wonder just how good he will be at keeping this promise?
I also wonder if the federal government picks up half the tab for the first and last year of education, how long it will take for the universities and colleges to up the fees? Sort of like when the government gives farmers a subsidy the price of fertilizer/spray goes up the next day!
It sure seems to me both Martin and Harper are getting pretty loose with the check book? At least Harper can say he's going to scrap some pricey expenses like the gun registry, which might free up some money? Now Paul on the other hand was promising the world before this election even started...how can he swing all these costs? I would suggest the answer is pretty simple...he won't keep even half his promises! But who can blame him for trying...when the alternative to winning might be a vacation at the Stony Plain Hilton!!!
