Lets Give it ALL Back!

My better half just heard some EXPERT on the radio saying that enough is enough with all the farming programs designed to bale out the farmers. The Canadian taxpayers have had enough!

The next page in the paper I read that the provincial governments of MB and SASK are redesigning programs to help facilitate the transfer of agricultural and crown lands to the 1st Nations. Because they (1st Nations) didnt get all the land initially entitled to them, that the shortfall would be topped off.

Given all the BS that us farmers seem to be having to take, like new government environmental regulations, extra transportation and input cost, and the general "sH&%$T that we seem to have to take on the lip from certain experts...... Maybe we should just give the land back to the Government and let them settle their "Obligations" to the new generation landowners (and taxpayers) that they seem to care so much about.

I have seen far too much waste on northern (and Southern) reserves in my short lifetime. It seems to be that our current batch of Great White fathers think that they have a debt to pay and just keep throwing good money after bad.

Atleast (it seems) that when you throw a few crumbs to Agriculture, you at least get a loaf of bread with meat back. For every $1 spent on agriculture it rotates around the economy atleast 7 or more times. I was having a particularly crappy day when I wrote that, but sometime a good venting is whats needed to get things moving!

And 25% of crown corp. jobs they want Indians to have. Like I said before....There won't be anything left in this province (SK),but government employees and Indians. Just take a drive through one of our "GREAT" cities in this province and take a close look....What in the world would one of those guys walking down the street, do with a thousand acres of good farm land???? other than let it go to waste. Hasn't this been tried before?? MAN OH MAN! am I sick of this $hit NDP provincial government in Regina and their clouded views of reality.

I'M PREDICTING STREET FIGHTS DURING THE NEXT PROV ELECTION. THAT'S HOW SICK WE ARE OF THESE CLOWNS AND THE CLOWNS THAT VOTE FOR THEM.

The articles I had read were about the MB government (MB Co-operator). But I have noticed all the land up for rent/lease that belongs to 1st Nations bands in SK. I hope that the land sits idle for eternity.

In Alberta the big push now is to train Aboriginals in apprenticeship trades. I don't think the government is involved in job guarantees but any apprentice worth their salt will have or be able to get a job in Alberta at this point .
