What ever happened to Wiebel? The last I heard he (they?) were moving to BC for more privacy?
Anybody have knowledge? rumour? just plain lies?

Sure seems to have dropped out of sight. Last time I heard about him he was giving a press conference on the steps of MacDougal Center in Calgary and that must have been three years ago.

There was a documentary just last week on CBC about Ludwig. He is still at Hythe and doing very well if you look at the new house he just built. Apparently his family has expanded the businesses they were into and they are looking for more members for their commune.
The oil company he was fighting with has abandoned all the wells around his farm! I guess he won?

I doubt that the community he lives in would think he WON much. As long as the death of the 16 year old girl that took place on his farm is still unsolved, it isn't a case of anyone winning.

Well they went into that a wee bit and he isn't very repentent about it!
He says "Hey wait a minute here...I was the victim! I never asked anybody to come hell raising around my farm! The young lady was breaking the law...not me!
Now personally I think this scenario would be a good case for gun control? What kind of moron starts shooting at cars, no matter what they are doing? Did Ludwig(or whoever was shooting) think their life was in danger? I don't know...but I sure know only a total idiot is going to start shooting! It just doesn't make sense...in my honest opinion?
Knotheads shouldn't own guns...period. We need gun control in this country...because quite frankly about half the idiots who have guns, shouldn't?

I don't think that half the people who own guns are volatile, have criminal records a mile long etc. If there is any reason to support gun control it would be to TAKE guns out of the hands of people who have any history of committing or threatening violence against others.

              EG: Ludwig, Rozco etc.

Hell, I have neighbours that have taken runs at people in the community with their manure spreading truck; tried to intimidate competitors in business by body language or being ' in their face' literally when no-one is around to witness their actions. In my view these people are a loose cannons and should not own any firearms because they could go off the deep end at any time. The local RCMP have a file an inch thick of complaints on them but can do nothing until they actually do something to harm someone and there is enough proof to charge them.

Well coppertop it is also the idiots who have no clue about safe handling and where in the hell that bullet is going?
I thank my lucky stars that my old man taught me a thing or two about a gun. He was a small arms instructor after he got shot up in Holland and he knew his stuff! The one thing that never left me was this: Where is that bullet going...after you shoot it? Where will it land?
A gun is a tool. It is not a toy. It is meant to kill the thing you shoot at. Never point it, or shoot it, unless you get the result you want. Good advice?

Maybe add to this a wee bit?
Obviously I've never killed anybody. But my old man did. He figured he planted several Germans and he told me you never forget any of them! He said it is an ugly thing to do and it lives with you forever, no matter that you were doing your duty! I know in his later years he had problems with some Hitler youth kid he killed in Holland!
I believe humans are not meant to kill other humans? I believe you pay a deadly price for doing that, somewhere on your lifes journey?
If you can kill someone and it doesn't bother you...I suspect you aren't normal.

I could not agree more cowman. I father was in the army and he had problems all his life with the death and buthery he saw overseas during the war.

My dad taught me how to handle a gun and I had my own gun long before I was a teenager. In fact my Dad also taught me to drive and he told me that having a steering wheel in my hand was having control of a weapon as deadly as a firearm and much more so.

I don't know how anyone can take the life of another on purpose other than in war, but it happens every day in this country, and its doubful if it ever happens with a gun that is registered. In fact many violent crimes are committed with knives these days.

I should qualify my comments, I have two precious grandsons and believe me if anyone every molested them or did anthing to harm them I think I could very handily do the perpetrator in !!!! Likely with a fence post vs a gun, or maybe with my cooking who knows !!!
