    Natural gas prices?

By Friday Oct. 28/2006 NG prices have posted some very impressive gains since the low in Sept.? They are quoting $7.86/ mmbtu which works out to close to $8/mcf? About a 45% increase?
NG continues to go into storage and without a cold winter in the USA we could see storage capacity approaching saturation levels by spring!
The trend for 2007 is iffy but long term looks very good with a maybe spike in late 2007/2008?
It is interesting to note that projections are for increased supply from the Canadian north and Alaska in about 6 years, but the prediction is the tarsands will use all of this increase!
Looks promising if you own some NG?

Doesn't look promising for the consuming public. Some gas drilling and pipeline construction delayed in this area as THEY want to slowdown delivery of gas which might increase the supply and keep prices low. We need an EUB with regulatory powers favouring the consumer but the PCs have effectively neutered the EUB in that regard.

I wonder how you see the mandate of the EUB? Shouldn't it be to ensure the people of Alberta get the maximum benifit from developement with the most protection from environmental problems?
Hey we all know the EUB has this priority "Get that well drilled and into production"? Hopefully they can do this without ruining the darned country?
Lately there has been a lot of talk about Synergy groups? Bottom line with this way of thinking is this: The wells are going to be drilled. That is just common sense for most people? Lets figure out the best way so everybody can be happy?
You can have these goofy tree hugger types who would object no matter what? Now mind you they are driving cars on our paved roads and usually working in offices where the electricity is supplied by NG fired generators...but whatever! The good old NDP supporter would be a prime example?

Quit picking on the NDPers. Most of the ones that I know are not radical tree huggers but would like to see more fairness in the world. Big business has never cared for the ordinary working Joe and you know it.

Getting back to the NEB, under Ralph's watch he let Steve West reorganize the EUB and it was changed quite a bit from what I heard. They chopped so many positions that it damned near didn't survive. Anyway we have to live with it as is until another government makes further changes.

Wilagro: I have a real problem with the NDP! In my mind they are evil personified! Probably how you view the Conservatives or Alberta Alliance or whatever right wing party I might mention?
I do not believe in any kind of "collective claptrap" as in any way healthy...whether that is the NDP or R-CALF or the ABP!
I will always rely on myself to protect my best interests...not some group!
Sorry...just an old redneck Albertan who believes in free enterprize!

Those evil NDP people, those are the people that gave us Health Care, Old Age Pensions and a host of other welfare programs. I avoid the socialist end of the spectrum like any other good redneck but they have had a big (positive) impact on the social welfare of this country.

All that the NDP does is bread beuracracy and inefficency. It supports the weak and keeps them in the industry or employed when they should have exited years ago. I agree with cowman. The only ones who vote fore NDP are union workers who would not survive in the free market and gov't pensions.
