Kevin Taft?

There was an article in the local socialist rag(Red Deer Advocate) about Kevin Taft(Alberta Liberal leader)and his thoughts on Ed Stelmach and his new government. Don't know if it was complimentary or not!
He said all the usual stuff...about how Ed was a nice guy,competent manager, etc. but also said he wasn't sure if Ed was up to the task of "moving Alberta forward into the 21st century"? Laid out some of the problems(as he saw them) and said he looked forward to working with Stelmach on getting them solved? All the usual BS about healthcare,housing and education...with one that really stood out...How to slow down growth at the oilsands!!!...hope Ed just doesn't go there!
Now Kevin Taft is a pretty smart guy and to hear him talk...it sounds good? But he is a Liberal...and he likes to spend money! Hope Stelmach doesn't get caught in the old "who can spend the most" game?...don't know if anyone can outspend a Liberal!

Well lets face it, Klein kind of left Stelmach holding the bag? Ralph pretty well set it up whoever got in they were going to have a tough old row to hoe living up to the spending spree?
The last couple of years these clowns were on a binge like we've never seen before? Big oil and gas profits let them get away with it!
It is very galling to see our money(and royalty money really is our money) being blown on things that should be covered by taxes? In Alaska they cut each citizen a check every year...for THEIR oil!
When old Ralph gave us $400...every Liberal and NDP roared in anger? They would rather see it spent on government "programs"! The people are too dumb, you see, to spend their money wisely? Big brother knows what is best for you!
